Break out the glowsticks, Sonic Massiv!

I really feel like going down the club right now. I think I will actually.

This is a very good remake of what I thought was a reasonable song to begin with. Don't stop making this stuff; should this happen, I will fornicate you with an iron stick personally. Don't forget to check me out too!

The-XI responds:

Hm, maybe I WANT you to fornicate me with an iron stick?
*huge grin*

I'm going to leave you a few reviews right now, you good sir, you. =D

Oh. My. Freaking. God.

This has to be the best track you have done so far; The Path Within is taking second seat until you do something better!

I have to agree with some of the other reviews; the piano is somewhat flat, and could do with a touch of reverb, not that I'm adding anything new here. Where to find a good choir, you say? The best I have heard so far is on GarageBand, though you have to play about with the attack and drag it foreward so it's in time <subliminal>get a Mac get a Mac get a Mac...</subliminal>. But seriously I don't think there is anything you can do to this melodically; I'll leave the techy stuff to other people!

Don't you ever stop, you hear me!?

LoneEagle responds:

I have to agree with you on this one, i think that this is my best track so far as well.

No i won't be getting a mac lol, as i'm used to what i have now, and it's not really about is the best between pc and mac it's just about the habit.

I won't stop, i'll still be making songs after i die lol, i'm just taking a little break right now and doing some other things with my time.

Thanks for the review "the duke of grumble". :D

Shinobi!!!!

This sounds like it could have come striaght out of Shinobi (as if you couldn't tell from the header). I must say this is has a certain charm, a la early 90's that I so enjoy. Let's fix that low score, shall we?

LoneEagle responds:

Is shinobi a manga cartoon? That's what i'm guessing.

Thanks for voting this one back up a little... i got zeroed by some people after i was on the weekly top 5 (woop).

This ain't one of best tracks, i think it's not one of my good tracks at all but i just think that it's always worth it to put a song on here if i put some effort in it. Don't really know what i'm trying to say here... meh oh well.

Thanks for reveiwing my stuff man.

Again, simply beautiful

It sounds the music to go with the archetypal vampire's monologue about his tragic life, and why the vampire hunter should take pity upon him. You don't fail to disappoint; each piece you do just gets better.

LoneEagle responds:

Haha... thanks :D But isn't it usually the vampire's monologue about how he is loved by the night and how he loves his immortality under the moon. And then he gets beat up by the vampire hunter lol.

Yea looking back at my first submissions i see the progress i made during the past months, i hope i can manage to continue on this path. I don't know when i'll be submitting again but i'll let you know.

Thanks for all the reviews so far, they mean alot to me :D

Pretty good

I very much like the intro, but it feels it's not going anywhere for a while. The strings are a really nice sound, and the way you did the echoing bells/electric piano thing are superb. I could barely tell where the loop was too; again you fail to disappoint.

4/5

LoneEagle responds:

Well i can tell where the loop is and i really hoped that it would loop just like my previous song but oh well... i'll try harder next time.

I'm glad that i am failing to disapoint and i hope that i will be able to keep up making some decent quality music in the futur.

Thanks for the vote/review.

One day, ONE DAY...

...your shoes will be mine, mwahahahahaaa...! Then I'll be able to pull astounding music from the very air around me! Soon...

But seriously, This is astounding; I think Alan would very much like this to be played in his castle all day long it's so grandiose (hooray for MIDI choirs, yaay!). I would review all your works, but I don't like repeating myself :).

6/5.

MaestroSorrow responds:

Hmm, my shoes are stinky and full of moss, i'll mail them to you, but have a priest at hand, much burning will occur.

Thanks for the review, i'll try to keep it up! (Go midi choirs!!!)

Like it a lot

Submitted on my 21st birthday!

Very atmospheric piece of music this; it sounds like a pre-battle montage piece to me. Despite being an older piece of music it still has the same qualities running through it, in a similar style as your others. I think it's simplicity is what gets me; it's often the best way to go, but difficult to master.

The drums aren't that sucky, I've seen (I mean heard) worse. I think this music is pretty solid myself, right up my street. Good stuff!

5/5

LoneEagle responds:

Well now i know when your birthday is :D

Yes simplicity is as hard as making super complex beats, but wichever i choose i must watch out as to not get too repetitive. I think this track is a little.

Of course i've heard worse drums, i made worse in my first tracks (not on NG) :D The drums didn't simply came out the way i wanted them to in this track.

Thanks for the nice comments and the vote.

Nice.

Is this theme also the Temple of Fiends theme?

I have one word for you.

Widdly.

Need I say more? Great job again on this one; how many more songs can you insert solos into?

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks for the review man! Glad to have achieved the coveted "widdly" designation!

People often confuse the Underwater Temple with the Temple of Fiends theme songs -- partially because a few people on vgmusic submitted midis for each area with the wrong name! The two songs are similar, but definitely different. This one is from Kraken's Lair. The Underwater Temple theme sounds a little more... triumphant, I guess. Slightly different melody, but a similar tempo, rhythm and structure. They're easily mistaken for one another. (I used to get them mixed up all the time too. No worries man!)

And on the solos thing -- I'm a guitarist; I can insert solos into ANYTHING. It's axe-sturbation at every turn! I felt like most of my submissions didn't really showcase a lot of leads, so I wanted to start putting that in a little more, since it's my primary interest. Glad you enjoyed it man! There's a lot more to come.

Great to see you back

I like the opening; I love bitcrushing effects. The part after the opening has an anime feeling; like there is some man standing on a hill silhouetted by the moon looking down into a valley. You know, typical big coat flapping in the breeze. From there the guy leaps down into the valley and continues on whatever journey he must make.

The general makeup is pretty good, your percussion skills have improved too. If anything, the piano is a bit flat, but all the other aspects complement themselves so well it barely matters.

You get my 5. Keep it up!

LoneEagle responds:

HA! Now I picture the same thing that you do when I listen to this song, before that i didn't really picture alot, a guy looking for his path in life "the path within" or something like that :D

Yea the first thing that i composed on this song was the drums instead of the melody and it turned out pretty good.

Thanks for the review and the vote, both are very appreciated :D

Respect is due

Anyone with the guts to attempt to play those whacky time signature changes needs a hefty pat on the back. Anyone who gets it right needs a small fanboy following him around and worshipping the ground he walks on (I'm not small so not me). Supoib!

ZombiePosessor responds:

Yeah those time signatures were a bitch. Thanks for the review!

Walk softly, and carry a big gun.
