Pretty Colours...

The kind of thing stoned-up mates would play with for hours at a hash party and NEVER get bored with. I'm easily pleased by purty patterns and swirly colours. I like it a lot.

Fantastic game

I know this is a bit later than all the other reviews but I've been away from NG for quite a while.
This game is so good; it's actually a whole Flash RPG which is rare to find anywhere, let alone NG. Many thumbs up for your superb efforts; it wasn't time wasted.

Having recently completed it, I discovered you pillaged nearly all my music for this game, which I find pleasing to say the least, knowing I've been able to help someone create their game. It's a warm fuzzy feeling.

Not really anything I can fault this game on either; the difficulty was challenging but not impossible, it kept me playing to the end, and the interface was intuitive too. I reiterate this is a very good game that I think should have scored a little higher than it has. My hat is off to you.

Soup-a-Nova...ingenious.

That's right. now you too can make your battered hatchback look like an overrated heap of shit. Click now and you'll be the envy of everyone in the ghetto.

Keep ripping it out of those chavs for us; diamond job son innit tho!

You robbed me of my working hours

The amount I could have got done, but this game chewed through them these past two days. Everything is really well put together, the controls are perfectly smooth. Brilliant.

(I don't usually gloat, but I made top of the scoreboard; it's such a rare occasion for me (well never) that I'm really happy). I'm sure someone will beat it but THIS IS MY GLRIOUS MOMENT. So happy.

Your game is outstanding and will provide many more hours of fun. Thank you.

Weaksauce responds:

Michael: First off, I'm sorry we robbed you of those hours. Secondly, I'm very happy that we did. Controls and execution were my department, so it makes me especially happy to see them appreciated. And lastly, you SHOULD be proud, the high score charts have some amazing scores on there, great job!

Pretty average

How about adding some sounds to this; it would certainly improve, and the orange began to hurt my eyes after the 6th level. Some colour variation wouldn't go amiss; perhaps higher levels could get less of a contrast so it's harder to maneuver the cursor accurately?

The mouse cursor is NOT too big to fit; you just have to get the tip through.

Great stuff

Wile E. Coyote could learn a thing or two about how NOT to fall off of a cliff.
Well, at least he never jumped off intentionally. Good work.

It's a small target audience there...

Anyone outside of the UK will not get this. But those who do, it's hilarious.Just a warning to people prepared to say "I don't get it, this sucks".

Has potential

I do like your animation, it's pretty smooth. I'm sure there are quite a few people out there who will want to play the full version. Stick with the style that you have created and keep it up.

Minothor responds:

Thanks, you're the first person who's called my animation smooth actually! Thanks, I'm hoping that there's people who like it and even want to work on it, I know there's considerable talent on Newgrounds that I can only marvel at, I'm just hoping they would like to help an underdog with his work.

Tis okay, but...

the quiz was fine, but I did notice the huge minus for not knowing "the man"s middle name (for those of you who haven't done it yet), or where he grew up. I found it a little harsh saying that "I Suck", and not a true Family Guy fan, despite everything else being correct.
Perhaps a -10 or -15, as it is a difficult question you can't expect everyone to get right, so a -40 point punishment for each is somewhat OTT.

I think there is a sequal in this: more questions, please!

Oh, for crackakillin, you have to fill in the words to the soundbite.

Nice attempt, but needs a little work.

I can see that this has potential, but it was executed a little poorly. I know these things are very difficult to do and I sure as hell couldn't do it, but I found that after a couple of hours clicking it became monotonous, as it took far too long to actually get anywhere. The FF style "random girl encounters" I think could stay, and I presume once you get further into the game the girls can be accessed directly, but the process takes a bit too long for my liking. Maybe lower the experience thresholds to speed things up?

Maybe for your next version, you could find pictures of the characters (Net, or maybe scans or similar), as unfortunately a few girls did look somewhat masculine (Garnet was very nicely drawn but Rinoa looked like a straight-haired Bryan May). This has been said before but ADD RIKKU. She didn't get Sexiest Heroine Award 2004 for nothing. Mmmm, Rikku :).

The music too was grinding. How about using music incidentally, at certain events occurring, to break up the world map theme?

This has the potential definately, and hopefully your next version will hit the spot as it were. Just some tweaking here and there. I hope this has been a help, and not treated as a personal stab, as what I've mentioned may be a lot to ask for. Take it or leave it as you see fit, because if you go that extra mile I'm sure this will be a bigger hit than it is already. The fact that it is a FF related game did boost it's popularity, so think what happens when this is combined with an even better game engine :).

To those of you who said this was a pile of crap or something similar, I'd like to say "you do better or shut up and f**k off".

Looking foreward to the next installment, I know you can do it.
